I had Her Option done last Thursday (Aug. 27). I had a valium and a shot for pain before the procedure. The worst part was my bladder being full and the doctor pressing on my bladder during the ultrasound. The doctors also had a difficult time inserting the probe b/c they said I had a long cervix (?). They were also monitoring my c-section scar through the ultrasound.

I have only had to take 2 pain meds (loritab) the first 24 hours w/ light, bright red watery discharge, then 2 days ago, BAM! a gush of blood like a period (I had no idea I would have a period, isn't that why I did this procedure??). My doctor did not really explain the after effects. I think I was due for my period anyhow (I am pretty irregular and had my last period sometime in July) and now I am bleeding heavy, but the clotting is not near as bad, but still a bit crampy and can't use tampons....grrrr. I hate these pads and wondering after I stop bleeding will the watery discharge come?
I have also noticed a "different" smell than usual, not bad or worse, just different, if that makes sense. I am not certain I would do this again.
