I had "Her Ablation" five months ago. It did not work for me. It's truly hard to believe that I fit in the 2% unsuccessful rate. My DR said the only other option is a hysterectomy and I find that too drastic considering despite my menses everything else is normal. I was highly depressed that my procedure didn't work. The only thing that has changed is I do not experience menstrual cramps, but was it worth destroying a part of my body? I'm only 40 yrs young and will endure my heavy let me rephrase that extraordinary amounts of blood I loose each month. To anser the previous post No the procedure will not take away PMS. My doctor's explanation to why the procedure didn't work was that sometimes the lining of the uterus is embedded within the uterus muscles in which they cannot touch. We attempted the procedure at the right time of the month he assured me. :-( I wish those who have this procedure done all the best and I hope it works for you.
