Well i hate to be a bearer of bad news, but here goes my story! I had the procedure on December 31st. I bled for 12 weeks with very large intense cramps, along with tons of tissue. Went to the doc 3 times. They said i just had a very thick lining. So here i am in Aug(6months out) with this extremely intense pressure and pain. I was in tears. Tried tylenol 3, darvocet, 800 motrin, nothing. Finally got in to the PA who said" your cervix is closed completely " and sent me for a US. An 1.5 Ultrasound! The tech was confused at what she saw, so she called in another tech, who the called in a radiologist, who the looked for a bit and sent me straight to the hospital. I had a side effect from the procedure that wasn't even listed! My cervix had so much scare tissue from the ablasion that it had closed! I had 6 months of periods setting in my uterus with nowhere to go=extreme pain! They admitted me, did toradol, digitol, and zofram overnight and did a DNC the next day. Now they tell me it's scarred so bad that I am being scheduled for a robotic hyterectomy. So now i have paid for the ablasion, an emergency procedure, and a hyterectomy, I don't reccommend this procedure unless you have ALL the info. Doctors aren't telling you everything they need to about it. My side effect was extermely rare, is what i'm told, but if not taken care of could have killed me! Is it really worth the risk?
