Dr. Darlene Lawrence
Dr. Lawrence is a board-certified family physician and full time faculty member in the Georgetown University Family Medicine Residency Program. In addition to providing full-service family medicine care including obstetrics, she teaches Family Medicine Residents, and upper level medical students at Fort Lincoln Family Medicine Center in Colmar Manor, MD. Dr. Lawrence is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a BA in Anthropology, and of Georgetown University School of Medicine. She did her Family Practice Residency training at Georgetown/Providence, and has been practicing in Washington, DC since 1993. She is an active member and leader in the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has served in many positions from Delegate to Reference Committee Member and Chair to Resident Board Member. In addition to having served for six years on the President’s Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality, Dr. Lawrence is a Health and Human Services Public Health Policy Fellow and Hon. Eleanor Holmes Norton’s key contact for the AAFP.
