So I woke up with a headache one morning when I was about 31. I was up in Flag for a week-long workshop. Went into town and got some Tylenol or something. Headache didn't go away. It was right behind my right eye. Long story short, saw opthalmalogists, neurologists, pain docs, had acupuncture, physical therapy, used a TENS unit, had this Chinese thing where they put these little tiny beads on your ear. Have been on every medication there is. Even went to a well known neurologist in Phoenix who is a well-known headache specialist.

As I try to write this I am Flashing. I had a Hysterectomy 2 and 1/2 years ago. I am 55 years old. Ever since the surgery I have massive mood swings, hot flashes and night sweats. I can't sleep without a sleeping pill and now I add a muscle relaxer because of my resistance to the sleeping pills. I take Estratest but does not seem to help much. I have been on anti-depressants for 20 years my dosage had to be increased since the surgery. I read your article in the newpaper today and copied it at work.

I would like to know if my stress from taking care of a wheeelchair and bed bound spouse affect any of my current conditions. I know if I get away for a couple of hours I feel much better, but it tires me out. I could easily sleep most of the day if I had time.
I had serious surgery in Nov 2007 for an ulcer that would not heal so nopw there are medications, such as for Ostoperosis that I can no longer take. Also I can no longer take Celebrex for my arthritis.
Any suggestions for substitutes?
Thanks

The best health advice I have ever received is to never start smoking, and after seeing what has happened to my uncle, I never will. Twenty years ago, my uncle was diagnosed with throat cancer. He took radiation, and his doctor told him that he would be dead in five years if he didn't stop smoking. My uncle just couldn't seem to quit, he was too addicted. So he continued to smoke, and after five years, the cancer hadn't returned. He felt he was very lucky and consequently put the cancer out of his mind.

I was reading a story recently about a woman whose husband died from over-dosing on medications he had purchased (somewhat surreptitiously) from an on-line pharmacy.
I think we all suffer through the plague of mass emails for everything from pills to cure erectile dysfunction to pills that take away your pain. I get so many E.D. emails that I almost felt like checking my parts to make sure I am actually female...do these companies know something about me I don't?
No, all they care about is an email address and the easy lure of money.

Got a case of the Jimmy Legs?
Some people believe Restless Leg Syndrome is one of those fancy new afflictions that people think they have because it's trendy and sometimes it seems that one must suffer from some kind of syndrome or other to belong!

For a few years now, I have been suffering from severe migraines. I have been to the regular family doctor, and also to a neurologist. First, they thought I had a brain anurism, but descovered that there is just what they call a "knuckle" in one of my central blood vessels in my brain. Ive been on a few medications to try to prevent the migraines, but nothing seemed to work. I used to take Excedrine: Migraine, but much to my suprise, the neurologist informed me that taking Excedrine Migraine habitually can actually induce migraines.

I am a 29 year old woman who has had several health problems - nothing major, but big enough to effect my daily life and quality of life. However, recently I was introduced to Reliv, a complete nutritional supplement, by a friend. I have only been on it for two months, but already my constant headaches are gone, my acid reflux is gone, and my skin has cleared up. Also I went to the doctor for blood work to see how it has affected my thyroid and that has improved and I have lost 20lbs in these last two months!! That is huge for me!
