A recent article discusses one man's success with weight loss (15 pounds in just 45 days) as a result of playing Wii Fit. He said, "the game made it 'especially easy' to work the training into his daily life."
Another EmpowHer user discussed Wii Fit in a Weight Management forum: http://empowher.com/ask/weight-managemen..., when it was first released. Now that there is a success story to the new video game, would you try it? Have you used Wii Fit or another videogame? I played Dance Revolution (not sure what platform/brand this is), and I was breathing heavy and had to take a break...it was definitely exercise! :-)
I find the whole Wii for fitness phenom fascinating, but unfortunately, my husband, who solidly qualifies as a 'gamer' is hesitant to pick one up.
I think it's wonderful this man lost 15 pounds in just 45 days. I would need to learn more about his diet and other habits before going out to purchase a Wii, however.
And I have also played Dance Revolution and Wii Tennis and I have to admit they're pretty fun. And I'm glad to hear you had to take a break -- I was booted off of Dance Revolution before I got to breathing too heavily. Apparently, no mad dance skills here.
