I am a 54 year old woman and have been married 3 times. I am in a relationship now and we are very seriously considering getting married. My problem is, I have never had children vaginally and have a small vagina. My boyfriend is larger than any of my previous husbands and we cant seem to get very far in the bedroom. We used a lubricant but still it is tearing me. I know since I have been through menopause that I have lost alot of elasticity in my vagina. Do you have any suggestions on what we can do in this case, as we do love each other dearly and would like to consumate our love.

So, I found out about this term -- HSP or Highly Sensitive People a few days ago when I was chatting with a friend about her son heading off to Kindergarten. She said she was worried about how he would react to his new environment because "he's so sensitive." That's when she dropped HSP on me.
Apparently, between 15 and 20 percent of the population is considered highly sensitive which means their nervous systems process stimuli at a much higher rate -- sometimes up to 10 times more -- than the rest of the population.

I believe my vestibulitis occurred with the drying out of my vestibule area during menopause. I had some cracking of the skin and a general feeling of it being chapped in the vestibule area. This led to burning and itching and steriod creams and 7 doctors that just said it was part of menopause. By the time it was correctly diagnosed, my nerve endings in the 5,6, and 7 spot were charged up with pain. I have been doctoring successfully for three years with only one or two major flare ups.

What immediately comes to mind when you envision yourself at 70? Are you a couch potato or preparing for a 10K?
While we have a multitude of fitness programs geared toward our children and ourselves, engaging our grandmother's generation has been an entirely different matter. Sure, there are fitness programs of some sort in retirement homes, but what about in "real" gyms?

I hope you find this helpful and the scenery soothing. It is from the beach in Hawaii.
