This article got me wondering:

EmpowHer's Health Tip: More Americans Taking Drugs for Chronic Health Problems
http://empowher.com/content/empowhers-he...

Are we a society of hypochondriacs, or are there environmental issues we're not dealing with well enough to be as healthy as we should be with all our state-of-the-art medical care?

What's your take?

Medications -- Do you know your loved one's meds?

It all started with the Personal Healthcare Journal for Seniors.

My mother-in-law sees five different healthcare providers and was having trouble remembering who said what. After much research I created a tool to help her record and track her medical information. Check it out at www.mycarenecessities.com

The book has been out for just six weeks and the response has been amazing - not so much from the seniors but from the baby-boomer generation.

Wisdom teeth

A few years ago, my older brother and my Mom accompanied me as I had my wisdom teeth removed. I was lucky enough to have a doctor that cared about my feelings and answered my concerns. She was able to give me dissolvable stitches so I wouldn't have to come back to have them removed. The surgery went ok.

When I was coming out of the anesthesia, I got up too quickly and the nurse seemed to force me down. I didn't realize that I'd have "jello" legs. A few minutes later, the nurse helped me into the wheelchair and again in order to get me into the car.

For a few years now, I have been suffering from severe migraines. I have been to the regular family doctor, and also to a neurologist. First, they thought I had a brain anurism, but descovered that there is just what they call a "knuckle" in one of my central blood vessels in my brain. Ive been on a few medications to try to prevent the migraines, but nothing seemed to work. I used to take Excedrine: Migraine, but much to my suprise, the neurologist informed me that taking Excedrine Migraine habitually can actually induce migraines.

As long as I can remember, I have battled my weight.

I recall attending my first Weight Watchers meeting when I was just 8 years old, joining the group and losing 25 pounds. And like most people who have a weight problem I grew up trying many other diets, including Phen-Fen, liquid protein drinks, The Zone, Atkins, and everything else in between.

I read one of EmpowHer's leading news stories on a recent study out of Yale on preeclampsia and the effect of dark chocolate. I must say I'm a little skeptical about the study.
