Here's an interesting blog from the Dallas Morning News that states women care more about weight than breast cancer.
Such are the just-released findings of a nationwide survey of 3,000 women conducted Meredith Corporation and NBC Universal.

Could this be true? Do you care more about diet & weight control than heart disease? Let me know what you think.
Hands down, women care more about weight
I think our deep fear is breast cancer but our surface (and more obvious) fear is weight. We look in the mirror every day and see our weight. We see it plastered all over magazines. There may be a blurb here or there about breast health (usually at the bottom or squashed to the side) but LOSE 10 LBS IN 10 DAYS!! or HOW TO WOW HIM WITH YOUR CURVES! is front and center.
We've been conditioned to care more about our weight. Ironically, women's breasts are also front and center when it comes to attention getting but usually for sexual purposes, not health reasons.
It is somewhat understandable. Weight gain has been linked to some cancers as well as many other diseases and disorders. One in eight women will get breast cancer but nearly two thirds of us are over-weight. So weight does indeed matter.
We need to strike a healthy balance with both, and obsess about neither.
