April: Women’s Eye Health and Safety Month

Are you as focused on your vision as on sex? Scanning through the long list of posts about sex and sexual health, I think not. Yet, our eyes are literally our windows to the world and most of us would rather suffer any other disability than blindness. As a Web Strategist and IT/Web professional, I spend a great deal of time in front of a computer, sometimes in a poorly lit cubicle at a client site. There have been times when my vision has been so badly affected that I can barely see well enough to drive home, having to squint while trying to focus on the road ahead. My daughter recently had a checkup with her optometrist and I had her check into special lenses to ease the stress and glare from her computer monitor, which she now has. I must follow my own advice! April is Women’s Eye Health and Safety Month. Learn about eye problems and issues, take eye tests online, get information about children's eye health and find out how what you DON'T know or do about your own eye safety at Prevent Blindness America http://www.preventblindness.org/
