I just had "Her Option" cryo ablation of my endometrial lining four days ago for heavy bleeding, cramps, anemia with my periods. I'd like to know if there are any other ladies out there who have had this procedure and their experience. Didi it work for you? Did it help with PMS too?

This story out of India makes me wonder how old it too old for children? One of the twins was apparently conceived through in vitro fertilization.

How old do you think is too old to be a parent? Would you have children at 72?

Wow! So, I came across this article in the New York Times about 'pelvic fitness.' Essentially, the article profiles a gynecologist who performs pelvic reconstruction surgery in New York. She said she got the idea for opening a pelvic spa while walking by a tooth whitening clinic. You can read more here.

What are your thoughts on pelvic fitness? Is this an area that needs to be toned and rejuvenated? Or do you think this is just savvy marketing designed to rake in the cash?

LUBBOCK, Texas - A slice of cool, fresh watermelon is a juicy way to top off a Fourth of July cookout and one that researchers say has effects similar to Viagra — but don't necessarily expect it to keep the fireworks all night long.
Watermelons contain an ingredient called citrulline that can trigger production of a compound that helps relax the body's blood vessels, similar to what happens when a man takes Viagra, said scientists in Texas, one of the nation's top producers of the seedless variety.

The firestorm that erupted last month over Ricki Lake choosing homebirthing and the AMA's subsequent statement about how it feels hospital births are safer got me thinking. Should women have choices when it comes to birthing options? Or should women rely on hospitals?

Sexual needs and desires evolve as much as women themselves, but change is not always bad.
Whether women are 30 or 60 years old, if they have a desire to rekindle a sexual romance founder of Women’s Sexual Health Foundation Lisa Martinez says go for it.
Reaching 60 years old was once looked upon as over the hill. However, with a combination of communication and desire, couples can enjoy sex at any age.
As Martinez say, “The first step is to rekindle the relationship.” She says scheduling a date night to solely talk and get to know one another again is highly important.

I know that I am suppsed to visit my OB/GYN once/year for a Pap Smear and to get a refill on my birth control pills. I also know that I am supposed to go to my dentist/dental hygienist every 6 months for a dental cleaning and checkup.
I am wondering if there is a list of recommended preventative screenings or "check ups" that we are supposed to get, for certain ages (from an unbiased source)? (For instance, is my dentist wanting to make money from seeing me twice a year, or is this medically necessary)?
