Burning Tongue Syndrome, aka Burning Mouth Syndrome, feels like your entire mouth has been scalded. It impedes speech and makes eating and sleeping difficult. In my case, they finally prescribed Prilosec, Ativan and Klonopin ... obviously, stress is a key factor. It has helped but flares up when stress increases. It is full blown at the moment!
