FRIDAY, Aug. 1 (HealthDay News) -- At 102, Marianne Crowder credits her longevity to a taste for change, a sunny attitude, and supportive family and friends.

"I'm interested in everything," the former dancer and exercise teacher from California said. "Absolutely. All the new things are wonderful. In fact, I have a new phone I'm using right now."

Doctors Slow to Embrace Electronic Medical Records -- Family Practitioners and Doctors in the West Are Increasingly Wired

WEDNESDAY, June 18 (HealthDay News) -- Electronic medical record systems are being touted as the wave of the future in health care and communication, but only 17 percent of U.S. doctors have embraced the technology, a new survey finds.

"When you use a good definition of what a record system is, very few physicians appear to have one," said lead study author Catherine M. DesRoches, at Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute for Health Policy, in Boston.

Accenture Technology Labs is developing a digital device called the "persuasive mirror" that can show what your bad habits will do to your face over time.

A user answers questions about lifestyle, uploads a digital photo and hopes for the best as the mirror digitally ages the person six months down the road.
