I was catching up with an old friend, Janie, who lives in Toronto. So, at last, the Prime Minister of India has denounced the fact that there are so many fewer girls than boys (927 girls for every 1,000 boys) in his country....

This public denouncement comes after an estimated 10 million girl fetuses were aborted over the past 20 years by families who wanted male heirs.

I'd say this is a major case of too little, too late. What do you think?
