I think it's wonderful that parents are asking more questions of their children's pediatricians and do not follow medical recommendations blindly.

But doctors now fear that parents fears of a link between autism and vaccinations may be causing an increase in measles, as well as potentially causing an increase in other diseases or viruses.

Medically Necessary? Removing the Ovaries with a Hysterectomy

Removing the ovaries with a hysterectomy is common. In fact, of the 600,000 hysterectomies performed every year, half of them include the removal of the ovaries - the reason behind it being cited as cancer prevention (of the ovaries).

The fact is that our ovaries are important to our health - even when we are beyond child-bearing age. They have been linked to heart attack prevention, lessening risks of stroke and even dementia.

Is deoderant-only better? Is there a link between anti-perspirants and cancer?

Is it better to only wear deoderant? I believe anti-perspirants are not as safe because they actually block the body from perspiring, and have components (ingredients) in them that can lead to an increase in cancer risks, instead of a deoderant that just keeps a person fresh.

Although what's not considered a cancer risk these days...

Any thoughts on this?
