Have You Changed Your Eating Habits Given the Recent Salmonella Scare?

The news that more people have become sick with salmonella gave me pause. I honestly haven't changed my eating habits since word of the outbreak well ... broke. I'm not avoiding tomatoes or other produce and am relying on grocery stores and other distributors to take precautions. I have been washing our fruits, vegetables and herbs more, but haven't skipped my favorite foods. How are you handling the news? Have you done an about face as far as your eating habits are concerned?

The government on Saturday increased the number of people reported being sickened in a record salmonella outbreak in which tomatoes are the leading suspect although investigators are testing other types of fresh produce.

There have been 943 reported cases nationwide, with at least 130 hospitalizations since mid-April after the first salmonella illnesses appeared, the Food and Drug Administration said Saturday. That compares with a total of 922 people about two days ago and 869 reported earlier in the past week.

The BIG LIE about purifying produce - and also "infected" produce

You're being systematically lied to. Produce CAN be purified. I've opened a new yahoo account named "purifyproduce." Write to me, for free info. I am selling absolutely NOTHING.

I live in Mexico and have purified for 14 years. All of Mexico has been purifying for decades. YOU CAN'T. And now somebody is deliberately tainting first spinach and then, tomatoes. Write to me. Then spread this info around! It's time this deliberate sabotage was investigated.

I'm supremely outraged.
