The staggering statistics - foreclosures are up 121%. One out of every 171 homes has received a notice of foreclosure. We are in a shocking housing crisis due to shoddy lenders with even shoddier business practices and greedy consumers who wanted more than they could afford. The rest of us can't sell our homes, sell at a huge loss or have seen our property values decline.

So, here's another reason to stay out of debt. According to an AOL-AP poll, people who have high stress debt suffer a slew of health maladies. Check them out:

_27 percent had ulcers or digestive tract problems, compared with 8 percent of those with low levels of debt stress.

_44 percent had migraines or other headaches, compared with 15 percent.

_29 percent suffered severe anxiety, compared with 4 percent.

_23 percent had severe depression, compared with 4 percent.

_6 percent reported heart attacks, double the rate for those with low debt stress.
