Has anybody ever tried Positive Changes for weight loss or know of anybody who has? I was just wondering if it worked and how much it cost?

Positive Changes

Donna - Positive Changes is a Hypnosis treatment that covers many issues including weight loss, smoking, alcohol abuse and many other areas where people want to see changes in their lives.

Their website, www.positivechanges.com, does not discuss cost because it would seem their locations are all franchised and costs may therefore vary. However, they do offer a 100% money back guarantee of you are not satisfied after your first session.

Their website has a list of locations if you are interested. Good luck! I know hypnosis has worked for people I know who wanted to stop smoking and I believe over-eating and smoking have much in common.

Hypnosis and Weight Loss

Can't speak specifically to Positive Changes, but wanted to share a little information about hypnosis and weight loss from the National Women's Health Resource Center Inc.

Weight loss: Hypnosis seems to help with low-to-moderate weight loss, but generally only when combined with some sort of behavioral weight-management program.

Not everyone can be hypnotized. Susceptibility varies, and about 10 to 20 percent of us can't be hypnotized at all. For most uses, however, it's not essential that you be highly hypnotizable to achieve results.

Hypnosis may not be for you if you have certain psychological conditions—particularly those caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. If you suffer from psychosis, severe depression (or another organic psychiatric condition) or antisocial personality disorder, you should probably not attempt hypnosis. These conditions require different forms of treatment; hypnosis is not considered an appropriate treatment option.

Have you tried other weight-loss programs with any degree of success?

Is Positive Changes a program?

Hi Donna,

Could you please tell me more about Positive Changes? I'd love to do some research on this for all our users.

Best,

Michelle

Hypnosis and weight loss

Hi Donna!

Before starting any weight loss program, always check with your physician. Also for any specific companies dealing with weight loss, you should always do your homework and check them out with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org).

Honestly, one thing I have found over the years, different programs work for different people.

Hope this helps

Hi Michelle, The only thing

Hi Michelle,

The only thing that I can tell you about the program is all of the ads I have been seeing in the paper. It is suppose to change your behavior so that you don't over eat and that you exercise more from what I'm reading. Hope that you find something in your research.

Thanks,
Donna
