CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS

This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

No plastic containers in microwave.

No water bottles in freezer.

No plastic wrap in microwave.

A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Working from Home

The gas prices are rising dramatically and there is the option to work from home. Some businesses have even offered four 10 hour days to try and cut down on the gas expenses to and from work. How do you feel about the option to work from home or even a four day week? If so, what are the pros and cons about working from home?

Has anyone tried Chaste Tree as a supplement/herb to help regulate your menstrual cycle? It is hormone free, and I heard it helps with cramping, headaches and breast tenderness.

I had my procedure done on the 29th of Sept 2008. The first week i just had a light yellow watery discharge.. then on Tues Oct 7th, I had really heavy bleeding for 3 hours soaking pants, pads the works. Then it stopped as quick as it came. then next day no bleeding at all. then on the 9th heavy bleeding again for about 2 hours. Then it went away as quick as it came.. MY doctor tells me this is normal.. Today Iwent out to a football game with the kids and as soon as I got home and stepped out of the car.l Blood saturated my pants and socks. What is going on..

The weak economy - how has it changed YOU?

With all that is happening in our country, I'm wondering how it's directly affecting women out there.

Have you lost your job? Your home?
What have you had to cut back on?
Have you had to limit or stop extra curicular activities?
Do you eat out less or not at all?
Do you drive less?
Do you shop discount or second hand?
Have you had to sell off anything?

I'd like to know what others are doing to batten down the hatches and share tips!

Thanks!

Are composite (white) fillings safer than amalgam (silver) fillings?

I have a few silver fillings that I worry about due to the mercury in them. They also look - well, not so nice but it's the significant amount of mercury living in my mouth for decades now that I worry about.

I'd like to get them removed and replaced with white composite ones. Are they safer? And do they work as well as "traditional" silver ones?

Thanks

Probiotics -- Are they needed? Every day?

I hear and see so many things about different pro-biotics these days. There are yogurt drinks and regular yogurt that advertise different types of pro-biotics in addition to their usual "live yogurt culture" attributes.

I also see probiotic supplements meant to help digestive health sold on the aisles of a health food store.

Is this more marketing than anything? Or do we have an actual need for more pro-biotic substances than we're getting in our bodies through regular nutrition? And if so, is it a daily need?

I just watched Dr. Daenell's video on empowher
http://empowher.com/share/weight-managem...

about what women can do about their unwanted weight. She mentioned three supplements, one was CoQ10. the others I could not understand (my slow computer connection, no doubt). How can I access the trascript for this video?
